The Transparency Layer: GitHub

We use GitHub as our public-facing workspace. It allows our members, donors, and partners to see exactly what we are doing and how we make decisions.

• What is public: Methodology notes, roadmaps, technical documentation, and public policy versions.

• Why it matters: It makes our work verifiable, reusable, and auditable. Anyone can track our progress in real-time, ensuring our impact is backed by evidence, not just claims.

The Protected Layer: SharePoint

Transparency must be balanced with a duty of care. We use SharePoint as our secure system of record for sensitive information that requires strict confidentiality.

• What is protected: Personal data, partner contracts, financial records, and internal board materials.

• Why it matters: This ensures we meet our legal and safeguarding obligations, protecting the privacy of the communities and partners we serve.

The Net: We share to build trust and enable participation; we protect to ensure safety, security, and legal compliance.
